Love has always moved me in the quiet ways it shows up, in the promises we make, and in the stories we carry. I created Love Spoken Here because I believe your wedding deserves more than a script. Before becoming an officiant, I was a speaker and storyteller, helping people find the right words for life’s most significant moments. Now, I bring that same care and intention to every wedding ceremony, elopement, and vow renewal. Are you legally able to officiate our wedding?
Yes! I’m an ordained wedding officiant based in Michigan with the legal authority to perform marriages in this state. My credentials are also recognized in several other states, including Indiana, and my ordination is transferable wherever state laws allow. If you’re planning a ceremony outside of Michigan, I’ll confirm the local requirements to ensure everything is handled properly and your marriage is fully valid.
Do you officiate for LGBTQ+ and inclusive couples?
Absolutely. Love is universal, and I proudly create wedding ceremonies that honor all identities and relationships with respect and authenticity.
What happens if you can't make it due to illness or emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, I have a trusted network of professional officiants to provide backup. Your ceremony will never be left uncovered.
Can we personalize our ceremony?
Yes! No two weddings are alike. Your ceremony will reflect your values and story - with custom vows, readings, rituals, and details that make it uniquely yours.
Will we review the ceremony before the big day?
Yes. For full wedding ceremonies, we'll meet virtually before your wedding to review and finalize the script together.
How is the marriage license handled?
I'll guide you through the Michigan marriage license process, send reminders before your wedding, and file the license afterward. Once submitted, you'll receive confirmation directly from the county clerk.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I officiate weddings and elopements across Michigan. I'm based near Ann Arbor and also serve couples along the Lake Michigan shoreline, including South Haven. Travel beyond 30 miles from Ann Arbor is quoted individually, so whether your ceremony is local or lakeside, I'll be happy to create something special for you.
Are your fees transparent?
Yes. My package prices are listed clearly, with optional add-ons available. Travel fees apply only for ceremonies more than 30 miles outside Ann Arbor, and everything is discussed upfront so there are no surprises.
Do you offer discounts for military or first responders?
Yes! Love Spoken Here offers a Heroes with Heart discount in recognition of service from military members, first responders, teachers, doctors, and nurses.
